Flint Vineyard

Flint Vineyard is at the forefront of innovation in the emerging era of new English wines.

In a relatively brief period, their still and sparkling wines have garnered extensive recognition and numerous accolades, solidifying their position as among the nation’s finest.

Under the fearless leadership of winemaker Ben Witchell, who is driven to craft exceptional wines, we find the ideal environment to cultivate bold, concise, and impactful branding. As we embark on our seventh year of collaboration, we are committed to fuelling Flint’s creative passion.

Flint Vineyard Wines

We were initially approached by Flint Vineyard, an emerging winery nestled in Norfolk’s picturesque Waveney Valley, with the task of developing their branding and packaging.

At the core of their winemaking philosophy lies a harmonious fusion of scientific innovation and time-honoured techniques. In our branding approach, we harnessed the power of the Venn diagram, symbolising the convergence of these two methodologies through a scientific motif. This concept was seamlessly extended to the wine labels, where solid circles of colour intersected to form unique blended shades. Each colour was thoughtfully chosen to mirror the distinct flavours and aromatic profiles of the wines themselves.

Charmat

Charmat, the inaugural sparkling wine from Flint Vineyard, pays homage to the French inventor Eugène Charmat, renowned for patenting the tanks pivotal to Prosecco production.

The Charmat method, as it’s famously termed, deviates from the traditional Champagne-making process, involving a secondary fermentation period within a tank instead of a bottle.

In terms of label design, Charmat takes a slight detour from the branding of their still wines. It preserves their emblematic overlaid rings, now set against a sleek black backdrop accentuated with shimmering gold highlights, evoking the effervescence of this exquisite sparkling wine.
